East Herts Council’s Development Management Committee will meet on Thursday 23 March to consider Taylor Wimpey’s application for up to 1,500 new homes as part of Harlow and Gilston Garden Town.
The council officer’s report published yesterday (Wednesday, 15 March) recommends the application for approval.
It includes provision for a primary school, a local village centre, leisure and recreational facilities – including a football hub – and the restoration of a listed building.
Consideration of this application, which comprises one of the seven new villages planned for the Gilston area, follows the approval of Places for People’s application for six villages last month.
The committee meeting will start at 2pm in the Council Chamber at Wallfields in Hertford and will be live streamed on the council’s YouTube channel.
The full officer’s report can be viewed online.
