Latton Priory lies to the south of Harlow, sitting within Epping Forest District, and is allocated for around 1,050 new homes and community facilities.
These include a new secondary school, primary school and nursery/pre-school facilities.
The land is controlled by Hallam Land Management Limited and Commercial Estates Projects Limited who are Land Promoters.
Latton Priory is proposed for development as part of Epping Forest District Council’s Local Plan which was adopted at an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council on 6 March 2023.
A Strategic Masterplan Framework for Latton Priory was endorsed by Epping Forest District Council in 2023.
And following a grant of £120,000 from the Dept for Levelling, Housing and Communities, Epping Forest District Council asked residents to take an active role in shaping the new community at Latton Priory and inputting into the evolving Strategic Design Code.
The Strategic Design Code is the set of rules and guidelines that any development on the site will need to follow if it is to gain planning permission.
