Four volunteers holding Easter eggs in Harlow

Harlow Charities in Chocolate Heaven

With work having started on the Garden Town’s new public travel route between Burnt Mill roundabout and Harlow town centre, contractors Colas are also making an impact off-site and in the local community.

They teamed up with Rainbow Services in Harlow to distribute over 100 Easter eggs to local charities during the recent school holidays.

Charities receiving chocolate treats included:

• Rainbow Services Youth Project
• Family Contact Centre
• Safer Places
• Reach Group

Running from a redesigned junction at Burnt Mill along the A1019 to the town centre, the new public travel route will provide upgraded rapid bus services alongside:

• Walking and cycling links
• New public realm
• Trees, signage and lighting
