Works Progress at Eastwick Road

Work on the Central Stort Crossing North scheme continues to progress on schedule, with construction being carried out by developer Places for People and contractor Natta.

Current work in the Eastwick Road area includes the installation of new infrastructure for utilities and drainage upgrades. These works involve complex drainage and new, diverted utilities, which must be safely installed in large combined trenches. These are important steps in delivering this phase of the project and preparing the area for future growth.

The road closure currently in place in the Eastwick Road area remains on track to be completed and the road reopened in early November.

As with any major infrastructure project, timings remain subject to progress on site and factors such as weather conditions.

Central Stort Crossing North will create a new transport connection between the Gilston Area and Harlow, helping to improve connectivity, support sustainable travel and unlock new homes, jobs and community facilities as the area grows.

Thank you to residents, businesses, and road users for their continued patience while these essential works are carried out.
