The East Hertfordshire Local Plan, adopted in October 2018, allocates this area of the Garden Town for the proposed new development.
The land is owned and controlled by two landowners – Places for People own the majority of the allocated land, which will accommodate 8,500 new homes. Taylor Wimpey own the south western area of the allocated land, which will accommodate 1,500 new homes.
Two outline planning applications have been submitted and cover the entire 10,000 new homes proposed for the site. The applications are currently being reviewed and considered by officers and consultees.
