We’re delighted to announce that Harlow & Gilston Garden Town are a finalist at the 2023 Essex Housing Awards.
The Your Quality of Life project has made the Digital Impact category shortlist, thanks to Rainbow Services Harlow, Stantec, Quality of Life Foundation and all Harlow residents for making the project such a big success.
It’s our second time at the Essex Housing Awards having won the Building Garden Communities category with our Transport Strategy last year.
This year’s Awards Ceremony will be taking place in Chelmsford on Thursday 2 November 2023.
Funded by the Dept for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, Your Quality of Life asked residents to comment on their local area via an online Commonplace map.
All views were collated by HGGT’s five council partners, Quality of Life Foundation and Stantec with the subsequent Community Feedback Report highlighting green space preservation and better public transport as key priorities for people living in Harlow and across the local area.
We have also published a follow up report, Reflections and Recommendations, which explains how the resident feedback will go towards shaping future HGGT plans, consultation and engagement while working collaboratively with local communities.
